Abdul Rahman Zamawi, since March 2008 has elected to be an independent Consultant to consolidate his regional working business experience primarily in the Telecommunication industry. Abdul Rahman formerly is the Executive Director of Cadmus Technologies, an innovative company that markets and distributes next generation telecommunication product and services for Soma Networks Inc., a leading global wireless telecommunication company, with customers in Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Abdul Rahman current consultancy assignments include a leading emerging Building Technologies Conglomerate, a Global Software Company who invented IP Telephony and one of the Economic City Developer in Saudi Arabia.

Since joining Cadmus in September, 2003, Abdul Rahman has drawn on his depth of regional business expertise to drive strategic business development for a complete wireless broadband solution geared at bridging the digital divide and introduce a host services wireless broadband solution geared at bringing the digital divide and introduce a host of advanced technologies and services to end users.

Abdul Rahman, 55, is a 30 years business veteran with impressive regional experience at two of the leading regional conglomerate – Sime Darby (Malaysia) and SingTel (Singapore). Prior to his role at Cadmus, he was the Managing Director, Asia Pacific of SwissQual Inc. from Jan 2000 to August 2003 where he was a key player leading the company's emergence in Asia Pacific through innovation, market share gains and significant profitability in all strategic telecommunication businesses. During his tenure, SwissQual was profitable and increased market share through the introduction of exciting new products.

Before this leadership position at SwissQual, Abdul Rahman spent 10 years at the regional conglomerate, Sime Darby as Country Manager heading the Engineering business unit in Indonesia. Prior to that, he held a number of increasingly senior positions in project, training and strategy/business development at various SingTel business units.

Abdul Rahman holds a Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore where he attended a specialized Asia Pacific (APEX) full time MBA programme for Senior Executives where the classes were conducted in six countries namely India, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and including Singapore.

Abdul Rahman serves on the Board of Directors of One Ummah Foundation (www.oneummah.com), based in USA, and Hope Villages Fund (www.hopevillages.org), based in Singapore, that provide financial and medical assistance to build schools, clinics and skills training centres in countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, etc. Abdul Rahman is currently a Life member of Darul Arqam Singapore and a member of the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee.
